Full Scope Site Evaluation

Scope:

This evaluation provides a detailed assessment of performance for the entire process as a system.

Detail:

Establish "As-Is" Performance

It is vital that an accurate "As-Is" be established as a comparison against any future changes, otherwise it becomes difficult to determine potential value or measure the degree of success for an implemented change. Since a change in any given segment of an aggregates operation has the potential to impact the performance of other segments, it is important that "As-Is" measurements be accurately established for each element of the production process affected by change.

Validate Production Models

This is done using field observation including, cycle time measurement, belt scale output, gradation sampling, equipment setup, configuration verification, historical performance data, etc.  As with any software or computer based modeling system, it is critical that the data going in realistically represents current conditions. In particular it should never be presumed that output from AggFlow represents anything more than an estimate based on manufacturer performance projections until field data can be substituted at critical stages within the model.

Establish "System Design Capacity"

The “Design Capacity” of each element of the production process is established within the validation procedure by calculating the maximum achievable rate of production that can be expected for each process segment under optimal conditions. The “System Design Capacity” is established by the process element(s) that, under optimal conditions, limit the overall performance of the production process.

Identify Performance Defects

Comparison of Design Capacity to current results for each element of the production process will identify potential for improvement. It is extremely rare that the combination of identifiable defects will not represent in excess of 20% potential for performance improvement.

Results:

An initial report is provided detailing all relevant field measurements and observations.  The report specifically focuses on issues currently limiting performance.  Recommended improvements are identified along with the performance effect of each item on overall system capabilities.  Additional field data needed to validate the performance of each stage of the production process is listed along with any other data needed to establish the value of recommended upgrades.

Time & Cost:

Cost for the comprehensive site assessment is site dependant but invariably is offset many times over by the value of results.  Initial on-site time is generally less than 5 days but can vary substantially depending on size, complexity, previously available data and site participation.

Initial Site Evaluation

Scope:

This evaluation is intended to generally assess an operation to identify issues currently limiting performance.

Detail:

The initial assessment can be limited to the crushing and screening systems only or can include pit operations depending on client preference.  Process flow details are reviewed including equipment configuration and setup for standard operating modes.  An AggFlow model is created if one does not exist and evaluated for accuracy.  Field observations are made to verify details within the process flow model and to verify current performance limitations.

Results:

An initial report is provided detailing relevant field measurements and observations specifically focused on issues currently limiting performance.  Additional field measurements needed to validate the performance of each stage of the production process are listed along with any other data needed to establish the practical design capabilities of the processing systems.

Time & Cost:

Time and cost for the initial site assessment ranges between $2,500 and $10,000 depending on included scope, operation size, previously available data and site level participation.  Initial on-site time is generally between 1 and 3 days.  Your satisfaction is guaranteed.  If not satisfied with the value of the services provided, your cost is limited only to the actual cost of travel.
